[Name]: Rider (Sir Francis Drake)
[Canon]: Fate/Extra
[Age]: Mentally: 55, Physically: Early 30s
[Gender]: Neutral
[Canon Point]: Post Grail War death.

[History]: Wiki

[Personality]: Rider is a libertine and a hedonist. It's not so much that she rejects morality and ethics in pursuit of her greed and desire; she seriously does not care about right and wrong. Rider is a self centered scoundrel who only plays by others' rules when it suits her or when she has no choice. She is, essentially, a strong willed amoral woman of great greed and little restraint. With her desires setting her destination she is an adventurous woman who will make her own path without fear of the unknown. She has confidence that she will make it through with a combination of wits, grit, and flashy style, accepting the risk that if she fails, she fails.

Surly, rowdy, off the cuff, these are all good ways to describe her showy behavior. She realizes that life is ephemeral and tries to live it to the fullest. For her, that involves gaudy treasure, glamorous luxuries, great adventure, big parties and irresponsible splurging. She can't save money beyond what she considers her necessities. In life she sometimes declared, "I chase after gold so that I can scatter it like a storm!" She loves to have fun amassing, then wasting money. It thrills her.

Her roots, and how she became such a wild woman says a lot about her. The eldest of 12 children, born to a Protestant farmer, Francis had humble beginnings. No doubt her meager beginnings have a great deal to do with her insatiable hunger for gold and the outrageous and ephemeral luxuries it can afford her. She grew to be a sailor, and then a privateer, seeking revenge for his defeat at sea at the hands of the Spanish. Life as a privateer captain suited her well: she was allowed to sink or swim in a world that, essentially, had no rules. Yes, there was law governing privateers, but what happened at sea between two ships was difficult to enforce. Dead men tell no tales, and no one was going to question someone who got results.

She has immense confidence and a strong will built upon her successes and failures. She has suffered failure and recovered before, and has accomplished things people considered impossible. After all, she was the daughter of a farmer who became a privateer captain, lead ships to defeat the "invincible" Spanish Armada, became a land owning, knighted noble and was the first captain to survive circumnavigating the globe. Tell her that she can't do something and she may take it as a challenge. Among things she cares about she is competitive, aggressive, and ruthless, but playful. She loves to have a good time, and the thrill of such high tension competitions is one way she finds such a thing.

It should, however, be noted that despite her amorality, her hedonism, her bravado and courage she is not dumb. She considers the consequences of her actions, just not on a moral level. While morality may not be a consideration for her, punishment might be. She'll commit a crime without concern for whether it's wrong, but she'll at least have a plan about how to get away. She was a privateer, not a pirate, for a reason. She doesn't believe in heaven or hell, but she has seen the gallows, knows they're real, and intends to make sure her actions don't put her in them.

In her mind, it's a dog eat dog world where the top dogs can have whatever they want. If you want something and you can take it, that's just tough for the other guy.

[Abilities / Strengths & Weaknesses]: Skill wise, as a swashbuckling privateer, she's an expert sailor, swimmer, navigator, and pistolier (albeit, with old pistols) who knows her way around the gun powder and thrown explosives. She's a capable swordsman.

Strengths: First off, heroic spirits have ridiculous stats that I have decided to scale back. Unscaled back the math technically the math works out to do things like bench press 1600 pounds and being 40 times more fleet of foot than a normal man, whatever that even means. I am going to put it in abstract terms.

Strength: Strong, but no longer supernaturally so. If strength is one of another characters' strong suits, they are stronger than her.
Endurance: Very tough, very healthy. She probably has like 3000 HP in a JRPG that has max HP of 9999. She can suffer more punishment than any mundane mortal man. Ultimate supernatural level attacks that successfully hit her would annihilate her, but non-ultimate attacks she could suffer at least several blows from if not numerous.
Agility: She is extremely dextrous, fast and fleet of foot. Unless being fast and having fancy footwork and marksmanship is your characters big special thing, she is probably better at it.
Mana: She has a large mana reserve that does not restore quickly. If she started at full, she could do a few days of in the field military operations before running out of MP and dying so long as she doesn't use her most powerful attack.
Luck: Her luck is ridiculous. It is her special thing. She will not win every hand of cards you play with her, but she will probably have all the chips at the end of the night on 3 out of 4 nights. Furthermore, when a miracle is the only thing that could save her or accomplish what she's trying to do, her odds are probably 30/70 against her, which, since we're talking about miracles, is pretty spectacular.

With that out of the way, as a heroic spirit, she has many special qualities. She is, in actuality, a magical spirit given physical form through the expenditure of magical energy, be it her own, or the energy of a magic user whom she has a contract with. If she has no master, she'll eventually fade away, short of acquiring her magical energy through other means (absorbing it from some other source, be it a magical item whose purpose is just that, or through killing and subsequently taking the energy of living creatures). To conserve energy, she can not use energy to stay corporeal, existing as an invisible, intangible spirit.

Her magical flintlocks need not be reloaded, and can be discorporated or reformed, as they, like her body, are a part of her heroic spirit given physical form through magic. Considerable expenditure of magical energy, she can open portals, out from which come the barrels of cannons, ready to barrage her foes.

Her noble phantasm (a sort of ultimate power) requires extreme amounts of mana and briefly summons fleet of ships who will, even upon land, sail upon an accompanying storm that has frightening mythological images in it, based upon the viewers' own spiritual beliefs. Failing that, a fearsome figure of history. Due to my decision to weaken her stats, without a master she couldn't use this power, and it'd basically leave her weakened for a prolonged period afterward. Using it while in critical, it possibly wouldn't be at full strength, and she'd die in the process.

As a Rider class servant, she can handle most vehicles with above average skill, as well as ride most ordinary animals. Supernatural animals however are beyond her scope, because she rode a boat as hero, not a mythical beast. She'd have as much trouble riding one of those as any other heroic person. She'd have to work for it.

Her magical resistance rank in Nasuverse is D. She is essentially immune to low power magical spells that one casts typically with a few words rather than a line or two of incantation.

Weaknesses: Her biggest weaknesses are as follows.

1) She does not generate her own mana. She can get a little bit from eating, but unless she is getting significant amounts of mana from an outside source (a mage or a magical item/place), she will be weak and faint once she runs low on mana. Starving her for mana would be incredibly effective.

2) If she runs out of mana, she will die. In multiple difficult encounters and/or battles of attrition she can reach her limit. If she were a car she'd be driving down the road at 85 miles an hour for a long time (or stupidly fast for a short time) but when she runs out of gas, the engine dies and she isn't going anywhere.

[Limited Powers]:
As I said above, I chose to scale back her strenght, speed, toughness, and luck.

Pioneer of the Stars (星の開拓者, Hoshi no Kaitaku-sha, localized as Settler of the Stars) is the unique Skill given to heroes that became turning points in the human history. All difficult voyages and challenges which are considered "impossible" turn into "events that can be realized".

This power is ill defined and god modey. I'm just turning it off. Any aspect of this power remaining can be reflected in what I said about her luck.

Voyager of the Storm (嵐の航海者, Arashi no Kōkai-sha, localized as Rider on the Storm) is the talent to impel a ship and those who the user identifies with. Because the ability as a group leader is also necessary, this unique Skill also has the effects of both Charisma and Military Tactics.

God moding super captain charisma will be turned off in favor of RPing any kind of inspiration.

In the game it's established that she gains some degree of stat buffing from the amount of wealth she has. I'm going to turn that one off as well.

I'd also like to scale back her dependency upon mana to the extent that if she has no master, she will feel weak and faint so long as she can get a little mana from food and water. Essentially, she'll starve like anyone else, but be weakened without some outside source of mana. She'd still fade away and die quickly if she tried to fight in such a weakened state. Consider the leniency on this a way to make her easier to RP in the game, and as a concession for her reduced stats.

Musical Catfish Island

This place is god damn strange. You know, when I heard about it, I thought it would be hilarious. A downright riot, and I guess it kind of is, but their big stupid whiskered faces and their whistling fish blub blub O shaped mouths are unsettling. It's unnatural I say.

It sure a spectacle. I'm not sure now what the devil I expected, but somehow I'm a little disappointed, and yet it might be recommendable. It is unique, and, though they're ugly they are friendly... but, annoyingly friendly. Maybe I'm not drunk enough for this place.

... Strange as they are, they look delicious. Can you imagine how amazing that would look on a dinner table? I'm telling you, and I would know, that would be fit for a damn king.

Mighty tempting, I say. Mighty tempting.
